Standard 8mm/Super 8mm film to Video

Don’t let those precious memories deteriorate any more. Transfer your 8mm films to DVD, VHS, Mini-DV, DVCam or Digital 8mm tape before it’s too late.

What happens?

When we receive your film(s) we will inform you of their safe arrival. We then clean them, check and make good any bad splices. We then digitally transfer your film(s), directly from the gate of a specially modified projector, a frame at a time. This means we can eliminate that annoying flicker that is so common among other 8mm film to video transfers. Because we transfer directly from the gate of the projector there is no shading in the corners of the picture and no screen grain( there is no screen!) The projector also has an enlarged gate so you get to see more of your film (some information is lost when played back on a normal television).

The images are then transferred onto our dedicated computer workstations before being transferred to your preferred video format. Optional extras include adding titles to your films and correcting the image – colour balance, contrast, brightness etc.
